Family Fall Festival & Scarecrow Row

Oakwood's Annual Family Fall Festival takes over Shafor Park on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Families can enjoy an afternoon of games, a bouncy house and slide, and live entertainment, and kids are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes for the Costume Parade, with prizes for the best looking and most creative outfits. The day also wraps up the citywide Scarecrow Row contest, in which families, neighbors, scout troops, and coworkers build scarecrows displayed around town. Entries are judged on creativity and originality on festival day, with first, second, and third place awards plus the Mayor's Award announced to close the event.
