Public Works Monthly Debris Drop-off

Oakwood's monthly debris drop-off takes place Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the J. David Foell Public Works Center, 210 Shafor Boulevard. On the first Saturday of each month, the city opens the center so Oakwood residents can drop off yard debris and bulky household items such as old furniture and appliances with the freon removed. It is a free service for residents and a handy way to clear out garages, basements, and yards after the summer season. Note that grass clippings, tires, weekly household trash, and hazardous materials are not accepted at this event. Bring proof of residency and plan to arrive during the four-hour morning window.
