Community Shred Event

The City of Oakwood hosts a free Community Shred Event on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the J. David Foell Public Works Center at 210 Shafor Boulevard. Residents can bring unwanted paper documents, microfilm, microfiche, and other confidential materials for secure on-site destruction handled by Shred-It. All items are destroyed at the site, making this a safe and convenient way to protect personal information while clearing out old files before fall. The event is free of charge and open to the community, and it is a practical stop for anyone who has been holding on to boxes of old statements, records, or paperwork.
